When there is no building structure to attach the runway columns, Iron Mountain Crane & Hoist can design the bracing or other means of support. Freestanding runway structures require considerably more steel than other methods of support.
SEMI-FREE STANDING RUNWAY STRUCTURE
In many circumstances one part of the runway system can be supported by the building structure, but not all parts. Iron Mountain Crane & Hoist can create a custom solution that utilizes support of the building where possible and steel bracing in other parts.
MULTIPLE CRANES SHARING THE SAME RUNWAY
To help give added utility of our designed runways structures, multiple cranes handling loads of the same or different capacities can share a runway. We use distance sensing devices to keep the cranes separated so that the runway is never overloaded.
